A structured preparation course for those due to take either the Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore RYA/MCA Certificate of Competence Exam.
The course is intended to hone your techniques as a skipper, including crew management & safety, seamanship, boat handling, pilotage, navigation and chartwork.

Candidates should be at a standard where they are able to take charge of a sailing vessel on difficult coastal passages, out of sight of land, by day and by night and in worsening weather conditions.

Course fee includes food and accomodation, hire of waterproofs and seaboots, berthing, fuel and VAT.

The course includes use of the boat during the RYA/MCA examination.
